[Note from Phyllis: From a bone scan, I found that I had slight "osteopenia" (bone loss, prior to osteoporosis) before finding this product. I didn't realize it, but I learned that people over 50 start to lose part of their skeletal structure over time, some more than others. After taking it for a year, my second bone scan revealed a definite improvement. I’m so glad to have found something that can help me with this, because I really want my bones to stay strong. I also learned that strength training really helps build bones. In addition, if you walk in order to build bone, you have to be at least 140 pounds for it to be effective. If you weigh less than that, it is recommended that you wear "weights" to get you up to 140 pounds, in order for your walking to be an effective weight-bearing exercise.]
